jazz fusion or jazz rock has that electric guitar which messes things around
jazz rock is messed up jazz
perhaps it allows lower parts of the brain to work up

it doesn't have that sheen of winds which may become stilted at times and non accepted

and you have that cheesey keyboards

or angular ones

chick corea is too angular as his face  proclaims
although we accept that he has his own unique style and he puts it forth

as you slide more towards the rock you get more of the potato-heads

like Holdsworth

his sound is ok and his picking

but his technique? what is that practicing exercises for the young guitarist?

essentially we are talking about virtuosos and nothing more
